What to expect: 

For a typical eyeglass examination, you should plan to be in our office about one hour. 

If the eye exam is for contact lenses, it may take another 15-30 minutes.  Our doctors are committed to your eye health, and this requires specific testing and fitting of the contact lenses during the examination.  This is different than determining an eye glass prescription and often times includes an additional fee.  If it is your first time to wear contact lenses, you will need instructions to learn how to care for your lenses.  Please let us know when scheduling your appointment so we may allow enough time to accommodate your needs.

What to bring:

Please bring a complete list of all medications you may be taking, even if they are not for your eyes.  Bring any eyeglasses you currently wear or a written prescription and packaging for contact lenses.  Sunglasses are often helpful following pupil dilation, if you don't have sunglasses, we can provide disposable sun protection following your exam.
