Dr. Dawn D. (Wormington) Williams graduated from Garden City High School in 1995. She continued her academic journey at the University of Kansas, earning her degree in 1999. Pursuing her passion for eye care, Dr. Williams obtained her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Missouri St. Louis College of Optometry in 2003. Following her graduation, Dr. Williams began her career practicing full-scope optometry in Denver for three years.

Meet Dr. Matthew Gerstberger! A Kansas native and proud K-State alum, Dr. Gerstberger earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry and past President of the Kansas Optometric Association (2022-2023). Currently he is Chair of the American Board of Optometry (2025-2027). When he’s not caring for his patients, he’s cheering on his kids at sports games, hunting, camping, hitting the water for some skiing, riding motorcycles, or tossing a frisbee on the disc golf course.

Dr. Michael A. Hausmann graduated from Sidney High School in Sidney, Nebraska in 1993.  He continued his education at the University of Nebraska at Kearney and graduated in 2003.  He received his Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in 2007.

Brianna has been an optician for nearly six years. What started as a random opportunity quickly became a true passion. Within her first year, she earned her ABO certification and has loved helping patients see and feel their best ever since. She loves her work at GCO and the amazing team she gets to share it with. Outside the office, she enjoys photography, spending time with family, and loving on her dogs.

Meet Sheyenne, our resident perfectionist. When she's not diving into work, you'll find her nose buried in a good book, embracing the great outdoors (especially on those cloudy days), making memories with her fam, or jetting off on adventures around the globe.

Joselyn brings a comforting touch to every patient she meets, making each visit feel a little more like catching up with a friend. She loves helping others see the world more clearly- literally! When she's not assisting in the clinic, you can find her behind the camera capturing special moments, reading a good book, getting creative with crafts, or spending quality time
with her family. Between running her own small business, photography and love for creativity, Joselyn fills her days with heart and purpose.

Jessica is all about that coffee life, especially since joining us in March 2023. It's a natural side effect of being part of our crew. Jessica graduated from Garden City Community College in 2021 with an Associate’s degree in Biology and from Fort Hays State University in 2023 with a Bachelors in Modern Languages and specialized in Medical Terminology. Jessica digs her job so much because she is all about the teamwork vibes, loving the camaraderie with her fellow teammates.

My job description as an optometric technician includes preparing to take patients by checking in patients, updating their medical records, and taking their histories. Performing preliminary eye exams and measuring visual acuity is my main responsibility in helping doctors prepare to see their patients. Apart from taking care of patients, I am also the one responsible for managing GCO’s TikTok account ;)

Hello! My name is Aleydis, and I’m excited to be part of the GCO team! I’m currently a student at Garden City Achieve and on track to graduate in May 2027. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, and I especially love pampering my senior dog!

Hello, my name is Ailen and I am a technician here at Garden City Optometrists. I enjoy working with my fellow technicians. I enjoy helping, meeting and catching up with new and current patients. Whenever I am not at work my favorite place to be is with my husband and family. My latest hobby is baking. I have always wanted to stay in the health field and I am glad I am continuing those plans here at Garden City Optometrists. I look forward to seeing all of you here at GCO!

Meet Tylin, our Front Desk Lead. When she's not holding it down at work, you'll find her chillin' in front of the TV, baking up a storm, or channeling her inner Marie Kondo by organizing everything in sight. But let's talk about why Tylin loves working at GCO. First and foremost, she's all about taking care of our awesome patients. Making sure they're well taken care of is her jam. And hey, she's got a killer squad of coworkers and some seriously amazing doctors to back her up too. Let's just say, Tylin is the real MVP of our practice. Her problem-solving skills are on point, and when it comes to customer service, she's unmatched. We're beyond lucky to have her on our team, bringing her A-game every single day. Hii my name is Sabrina!! I love my job here at GCO, working with my coworkers, and the doctors! I love spending all my time with my beautiful daughter, going out to eat, and going to church every Sunday with my parents. There’s always room for improvement and I stride to become better everyday than I was yesterday! “a woman glows differently when she sees herself the way God does."

Jenell is our business manager. She graduated from Garden City High School in 1995 and received her Bachelors of Business Administration from Fort Hays State University in 2014. Jenell has been with our practice since December 2015. Jenell is a jack of all trades when it comes to problem solving. Although problem solving is not the most enjoyable task, she always tackles it as if it were. Whether it's here at work or at home, Jenell is the one person we can all rely on. At GCO, Jenell enjoys working with the entire team. Outside of her professional responsibilities, Jenell enjoys spending time with her family.
